? Postponed Update: Major D’LAB 2025 Events Shift to 2026

We are regrettably sharing an important update regarding the main Dhaka Live Art Biennale, which was previously scheduled to run from 28 November to 7 December 2025.

Due to the recent unrest in Dhaka and the sudden shutdown of Dhaka University following earthquake risks (effective until 6 December), the majority of the biennale activities have had to be postponed.

As a result, two of our major D’LAB projects planned for Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and Dhaka University have been postponed and are now scheduled to take place in 2026.

❌ Postponed Projects (Rescheduled for 2026):

Child-The Living Line

This was intended to be an extensive series of creative and educational workshops designed for all ages, including:

Clay

Art Therapy

Puppet-making

Mask-making

Origami

Printmaking

Colour-making

Cartoon & Caricature, and more.

Live Art (Heritage & Contemporary Performances)

This central component of the biennale featured an ambitious program:

Heritage Live Art Presentations by performance groups from across Bangladesh.

40 Performances by international and national performance, theatre, and interdisciplinary artists from 22 countries.

The flagship D’LAB Exhibition.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this necessary change may cause. The safety of our participating artists, audience, and partners is of paramount importance. We look forward to presenting these important projects at a more suitable time and environment in 2026.
